This project was created to support

Standard #1 of the Information Literacy Standards: 

Student accesses information

efficiently and effectively

Although many information literacy skills have been introduced and reinforced at various levels of the students library experience within our district, a new library and school building can throw off a students confidence in applying these skills in a new setting.  This project/task will introduce the new library and its services to the student in a fun way while reinforcing and building confidence in their information seeking abilities.

This project would be used with any group of students new to a specific library/building. Obviously this project contains information and technologies specific to our library here but the idea can be modified to work for your own location. 

In addition, this specific project could be used with our Detective and Mystery or Criminal Justice classes.
